The statement by DAP Assemblyman for Kota Alam Shah M. Manoharan proposing that the Jalur Gemilang be replaced is utter nonsense and proves that DAP is only making statements for their own political gain at the expense of the country’s history.
DAP’s statement will undoubtedly cause Malaysia’s image to fall, not to mention that it will also deal a severe blow to the Malaysian people who have had played a part in building the nation’s foundation. Throughout Malaysia’s history, our founding fathers of diverse ethnicities had fought for and contributed towards the nation’s independence and their efforts should not be simply swept away.
