Foreigners with PR status not eligible to vote
September 23, 2011 - Foreigners with entry permits or permanent resident status (PR) cannot register as voters in the country, Immigration Department director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad said.
Alias said they are also not eligible to become citizens automatically without fulfilling the requirements.
