MCA’s gift of life continues – 5th 1MCA Medical Foundation Cheque Presentation Ceremony

August 8, 2011 - To the Chinese, number 8 is said to symbolize prosperity. Considering that number 1 and 1 when read in Cantonese denotes “everyday”, coupled with a double-8 which in turn reads double the prosperity, for 19 needy successful applicants of the 1MCA Medical Foundation, the 8^th of August 2011 will be etched in their minds considering that RM163,596.21 was disbursed to them. Since the formation of the Foundation, a total of RM2,239,838.99 has been distributed benefitting 293 multiracial patients from lower income groups.
